LittleBigPlanet 2 would fragment community?

LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule has said that a sequel to the PS3 game would be counter-productive.

The developer said that creating a sequel would fragment the original game's strong community and instead Media Molecule would prefer to advance the original with new content and updates.

“I think what you’ve seen so far from LittleBigPlanet, that’s the way it’s going to continue [with DLC and updated]." producer Martin explained.

Meanwhile level designer Danny Leaver spoke about how a sequel would cause this fragmentation of the community,.

"We’d never want to do that," he said. "That’d be the most counterproductive thing you could do I think."
